Hi everyone my female cockatiel Sushi turns 1 on October 3rd. I know she doesn’t know it will be her first birthday but what are fun treat ideas I could do as a “birthday cake”. I just want to spoil her in a fun and safe way. Thank you all for the suggestions.

Sushi is gorgeous! I wish her a happy first birthday anniversary. I love the idea of "whole" food, something in a form closer to what wild parrots eat. Millet is readily available, but you can find sorghum sprays/sprigs, too. Be careful, some are meant for dried-flower arrangements, not for animal consumption.

Sorghum seeds are a particular favourite of wild cockatiels. Sorghum is the umbrella term used for a group of about 25 flowering plants that belong to the grass family.

Just a search result to give the idea:

One other idea: Some, but not all, of my parrots love sprouted sunflower seeds. Being sprouted makes them much more nutritious, and more expensive.

I eat a few, too, but they really need salt. :)

Great idea, @𝕾𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖒𝖞𝕻𝖎𝖈𝖆. I used to grow "soil sprouts" for myself. That means in soil to harvest just after the new leaf forms, so "micro greens". Then, I got parrots, and all my sprouting came to an end. I need to start up again, for them and me. It's actually pretty easy and fun. My preferred source for my soil-sprout seeds even sells a bird-seed mix.
