cockatiel has started plucking, advice needed

Sugar isnt a concern at this point i dont think. What i was looking for was vitamins and minerals.
I searched your pellets. Their website says they contain

NUTRITIONAL ADDITIVES

vitamin A 8000 IU, β-carotene 4.8 mg, vitamin D3 1650 IU, vitamin E 90 mg, vitamin B1 7.5 mg, vitamin B2 17.5 mg, calcium-D-pantothenate 22 mg, vitamin B6 6.5 mg, vitamin B12 0.03 mg, vitamin C 55 mg, niacin 90 mg, folic acid 1.65 mg, biotin 0.29 mg, choline chloride 780 mg, 3b202 (iodine) 2.3 mg, 3b405 (copper) 11 mg, 3b503 (manganese) 110 mg, 3b605 (zinc) 105 mg, 3b802 (selenium) 0.11 mg, 3b811 (organic selenium) 0.11 mg

If your bird is eating mostly pellets, technically you really should’t need a supplement but I suppose if you were to buy a supplement it shouldn’t hurt to give him some every now and then to try and get him healthy again.

I dont think i would use that if its not bird specific.

You could ask them if you can send them a picture. They may or may not accept that.

This is best. I think he really needs to see an avian vet.,
I myself would drive to the ends of the earth if i had to but i understand your situation.
I see, I'll try to get him to eat more pellets then. he eats more seeds when he has the choice so I'll try to reduce the amount of seeds a bit.
to be honest I also doubted the usefulness of something that's not bird specific... I got them just in case cause they didn't have anything else, but I'll just wait for the bird specific ones to arrive instead. better to be safe than sorry
I really do agree that he needs to see a vet, but I dont think it's physically possible right now. the vet closest to me is about 2 hours away by train and I really don't have anyone who would agree to drive me and sunny there.. and I can't really bring him on a train.. either way thank you for the understanding
in any case I'll ask if I can send pictures via email and see what advice the vets have.

My vet is 2 hours away also. There are people who travel much further than that.
I hope Sunny gets better but im not sure he can until its actually known whats wrong with him.
Take pictures of his poop incase the vet wants to see. Theres a lot to be told in the way poop looks.

I know that in comparison to other people I'm fairly close but I physically can't get sunny there. I can't drive and my parents basically refuse to drive outside our hometown and the nearest city :(
I suppose you are right though.. I'll still try to do what I can alongside improving his diet and stuff.
also, alright, I'll keep that in mind. I do know droppings can be one of the first signs when something is wrong. to me they've looked fairly normal lately but I'm sure there could always be something I'm not noticing. I'll pay extra attention as well as take those pictures just in case.

Google "just answer" and for a fee you can get expert advice from
An avian vet. If your folks let you.
Understand that none of us are avian vets so we aren't qualified to give expert advice.

I should be able to do that actually, thank you for the recommendation. and I do understand that,i just thought it would be good to have advice from bird owners more experienced than me, and I am very grateful for all the advice and recommendations I've gotten.
