With three amazons there are interesting interpersonal relationships between them.
I’ll try to put it in a nutshell.

Bingo is on one end of the….. friendly spectrum.
Bonded to me and thinks of himself more as a human than a bird.

Luna is at the other end. More like a wild caught parrot. She likes humans……but at a distance.

Merlin is right in the middle. Friendly enough with humans.
Will step up and is willing to sit with you but no scratches or snuggles.

Luna & Merlin (The Twins) are in the same cage and very friendly with each other.

But.

Merlin is fascinated with Bingo and Bingo is very forgiving with Merlin’s invasion of his space (cage climbing).
Luna gets jealous of Merlin paying attention to Bingo and has something of a death wish for Bingo.

Yesterday all three Amazon’s were out of their cages (Bingo with me and The Twins flying around) when I had to answer the call of nature.
I took Bingo with me and set him on the shower door. I left Bingo in the bathroom to look out the window.
I had barely sat down in the living room when Merlin flew into the bathroom closely followed by Luna.

Merlin not being a great flyer had crashed into the bottom of the tub/shower but Luna ā€œstuck the landing ā€œ and was just inches away from Bingo.

I had ran back into the bathroom right away and picked up Bingo before anything bad happened but it was close.

I never expected them to fly into the bathroom.
I tried taking them in there before and they panicked, flying into the mirrors and landing in the sink.

Definitely expect the unexpected. It's hard to predict what they'll do or why.

whenever I let Primor hang with me in the shower, the first thing I do is close the lid on the toilet...
Closing the lid on the toilet is one non-negotiable no-mistakes-allowed rule in our house, and my dear husband John, who has hated rules of any kind all his life (it's part of his charm), loves our budgies SO much that he rarely forgets. Just the thought of a budgie drowning in the toilet gives both of us nightmares!

The person I have the most trouble with the toilet cover is my wife.

The……pointers in the house do a good job on that.
