Hi folks,
No idea if someone has already done this because I have no idea what to call it. The catch tray on our cage was bumping our leg as well as furniture in the area. I purchased foam that looks like a small pool noodle from the hardware store. It is used for pipe insulation I think and already has a cut down the center. It is odorless and I washed it well before hand....geeze it works like a charm!

Good idea :)
I don't use those anymore. I thought I was the only one who would scar my shins on that thing lol! Also takes up more room. I found it was just another thing to clean poop off of too. If you do like using them though, the foam 'bumpers' are really great. Doesn't look bad either. :)

Brilliant! I've actually wrecked a lot of pants because of my darn seed guards. I personally would like to take them off, but Avery is determined to see how far she can get her morning poops away from her cage some days. I have to seriously safe guard everything around her, she's so messy... I have shower curtains up behind the cages (to protect the walls), carpet runners under the cages because we have horrendous beige California shag, and even then she still manages to get it somewhere it shouldn't be.

I'm going to have to show my boyfriend these... I feel like you've just showed me a whole new world of pants without holes! Until the birds decide to put holes in them, of course.

HAHA! All of the above. I've ruined leggings, my jean crops, and I've even torn a longer sweater. One time I got my pants stuck on the door and pulled out the belt loop hole... I have no luck with clothes.
