Can anyone identify this amazon?

Thanks JerseyWendy and Billy29.

He is the sweetest thing. Clings to me like crazy. Not to friendly with my husband yet. LOL .... I am hoping I can get him past that. I've just had him a week and he took to me fast. I'm still trying to learn his age. Hoping someone here can help me with the leg band info.
I've been told they usually "take to" one person in the home? You guys had to deal with this or know if it is true?

Well ,if your asking for henpecked's opinion?.... that;s an OWA and wendy and i agree.

HenPecked, I sure was hoping you would "chirp in" .....Thanks so much!

If you can help me out on the "bonding" issue I would appreciate it as well. I am shocked at how he is doing with me. But I hope he will warm up to my husband as well. He actually came off his cage and came to be while I was sitting in the livingroom, climbed up my leg to get in my lap. Sat on my knee and groomed for well over an hour. LOL if I walk through the house he will follow me. adorable! He had been caged for the past year , very very rarely was he out of his cage. I open it up first thing in the morning. he can go in and out at will, only locked door for bedtime. I thought i'd be a year or more to get him comfortable. Nope. the second day here he was yelling "hello" when I walked by until that afternoon when we when to vet. Not a nothing sound til next day. Had his nails clipped, they were so long he could barely move in the cage for them hooking on it. he was made at me but the next day , ya could not slow him down. lol been active ever since. oh, and over the mad spell. gonna post some pic's of him grooming on my lap today. I'm just so wrapped up in him, hope I don't get to annoying being a new OWA mommy! lol
thanks to you all that have replied and offered help

Please bare with me here, will be a few pic's. he's in action pruning sitting on my lap

Finally time to lay down and rest LOL

a head shot as well, I had a hard time finding one on the net to compare when I was trying to find out if he was BFA or OWA. always side shots. I hope these may be clear enough to help someone else at some point.

Orange wings have two toned beaks.

Blue fronts have pure black beaks.

:)

Orange wings are better, anyway! ;) Not quite as temperamental as the blue fronts! :D ("hot three" amazons are blue fronts, double yellow heads and yellow napes - considered the most difficult amazons in regards to behavior and temperament!)

I looked into both species before I got my yellow shouldered amazon. I say he is a Orange Winged which is better anyway because like Monica said they don't have the temperament problems. I originally was looking at a Blue front and steared clear because I didn't want to deal with potential problems.

That one is an OWA.

There was another one that was a first entry on this thread that appeared to be a yellow shouldered to me.

This is Mango my Yellow Shouldered Amazon hanging out with Oscar the Quaker.

The first bird in this thread appears to be a hybrid.

All amazons have potential for temperament problems...

My best bird EVER was a BFA...

Orange wings can also be biters, that depends entirely on how the bird was socialized.

They're just not so-called hot 3 amazons. (i.e. BFA, YNA, & the hottest of the hot 3's DYH's.)

yeah, i stand my my post, that's a OWA,,, looks like a boy ,to me.
