Cage Colors?

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to get a few opinions on the color cages you have. I have been searching the internet for weeks looking for a new cage for my DYH. I finally decided to purchase one last night online, then noticed this morning where the cage is Black. Just wondering if black cages are alot harder to keep clean. With this being a large purchase I want me and my bird to be happy for a long time. I have time to cancel the order if there are many cons to having the darker color cages. Thanks for the help.

Visually, I just prefer the black cages myself. All of mine are black (except the aluminum one). I think it's actually 'easier' to clean too, because the dust and white urates in the poop shows up against the dark color. Others will disagree and have reasons why a light color is easier to maintain. One color is not better over the other, as it's really personal preference, and a bird can get accustomed to any color.

I prefer the look of dark cafes, I think they are much easier to keep looking clean and they look better in my house. I prefer brown, but that is just because of the colors in my house

Thanks for the advice. I never knew cage shopping could be so overwhelming! Size, colors, brands!

Color is more a choice based on whether it fits with the room. Light colors (cream / gray) requires a little more effort to assure that you have cleaned all the corners. Black goes with most everything.

I have always believed that the access door is far to commonly overlooked as a choice in the cage. The taller and wider the door the easier everything else is: Like moving the Amazon in and out, cleaning, setting / positioning everything inside, etc, etc, etc...

Keep the top simple. The flowing tops with extension and lifts and whatever else are an easy way to increase the cost with very little function or just makes working with your Amazon more difficult (above your head). Plus they are a pain to clean. Neat looking, but living with them, not so neat.

Size: I like something in the 23 (deep) and 32 (long) so that without the seed catcher you can roll it out the door to sit in the sunlight.
