It’s always satisfying to see a happy bird and a clean cage. Even if it doesn’t stay clean for very long lol 😂.

How long did it stay clean? Does your Ekkie fling fruits & veggies everywhere too?

Everyday or every week cuz I clean my bird's cage he takes a bath while I clean so he gets me soaked and fresh papers always wet again

My CAG just loves cage cleaning day! I become her primary playtoy. She hangs from top of door, grabs a hand or finger, inspects items then either takes it or gives it a pass. I wear crochet skull caps to discourage the pulling, preening hair game. I didn't realize how much my cleaning is determined by her whims. I've put her elsewhere but it's a matter of time before she shows up for duty. She gets annoyed when after inspection I move or replace toys. The sad thing is if I am ignored, I: (a.)check day of week, (b.) check time of day, (c.) check for readily available transportation all in relation to avian vet hours and 😱😭 HORRORS😭😱 if 24 hr clinic that has avian vets on call maybe needed. When done, I give a cheer. Then the dread for next time begins.
