Hi parrots, today i make this thread to show eveyrone , Buu Buu, a great energetic young lovebird, who flew away by an accident on 01/01/2021. Buu Buu flew in a direction that was offlimits but one member in the family scared it off and it literally flew the other direction and flew out.. I had told this member NOT to scare the bird with fast movements or but he just did that to move the bird by flapping his arms up instead of what i had advised him to do which was just stand there lightly bring hand up.. Anyway, BuuBuu flew away and i ran out trying to find, spotted past roof and neighbor tree, then i quikly called BuuBuu , kept calling , BuuBuu flew back to the yard , i ran back to the yard, saw BuuBuu in a further tree 1 home away from an alley near this yard, jumped the fence and reached out my hand as perch and kept calling, another memeber briught the other bird to try help calling BuuBuu back, i held Greenshines temporary cage high and Green called to BuuBuu.. Buu Buu sat on that far tree( but can get there in a few mins by walk, but i hadnt gone there i didnt know if that tree was inside somebodys yard) the other member took a drive around,, BuuBuu came finally after Greens calls, BuuBuu flew above us, i think she saw us for sure, i kept holding Greenshine in that small cage, Green continued the call, but BuUBuu decided to U-turn back flew back, it lookd as if BuuBuu headed to that same tree , but not the same spot, and it seems BuuBuu took a right, notsure.. But this is where we last saw BuuBuu..

I wasnt home the next day after or the next, but i arranged for one person to wait and call for BuuBuu with Greenshine but i dont think he looked hard enough, after coming back on the 3rd i bileve, i immediatly set out with that person to look around neighborhood trees calling BuuBuu. Green wasnt calling as much. I made fliers and passed them into neighbors mailboxes. 40 fliers. I made more yesterday and passed them and sticked them near stores and Walmart. I did some more today. The second set of fliers i made was 100 fliers. I have about 20 left.. Everyday i check around that yard and call. So do Green.

About Buu Buu
Very energetic and adventurous lovebird, takes slight risks and curiously comes to your hand after holding millet for over 30 mins, sometimes faster. Buu Buu grooms very well and shakes the tail feathers very fast and in stylish motion. When eating from tray, curiously looks up and pecks down quickly and looks again at you. This is funny. Then maybe pecks twice in rapid succession and looks again. Has a habit of going to ceiling fans all the time. If not, usually loves the black TV, and sits there a good time. Loves to look at mirrors and sometimes calls or flutters wings at it.

Buu Buu loves the company of Greenshine, green lovebird friend. Green usually seen grooming Buu Buu on the head. Got Buu Buu a basket made of small sticks, and over the course of time, BuuBuu and Greenshine together have effectively destroyed it to the ground. Buu Buu is a hard worker.

Latest tricks learned was to finally step up on my hand from the TV , but Greenshine was the one originally encourged and showed BuuBuu its ok ,(Greenshine is still scared in many aspects when anyone approaches but will step up from TV and your general height). Buu Buu usually never stepped up on your hand, but now Buu Buu was doing it much more often. The only thing hard was getting BuuBuu off the ceiling fan, but as of now, sometimes will drop and land on your head and your forarm, was doing it more consistently.

After i get Buu on my arm, i take them to a mirror and for some reason, this calms Buu Buu alot and makes slight chirps to the point where it feels like BuuBuu is saying Thankyou. Thats what it literally feels like, BuuBuu even nods the head down while down that. So, i let BuuBuu watch the mirror and stand there for atleast 30 mins. During this time BuuBuu really cleans foot and picks up foot and looks like its eating it, lol.. Really fun to see,

Your idea of making up paper flyers was a very good one, about 25 years ago I got an Indian ringneck back the same day using this method. Alert every vet clinic anywhere near you, avian specialist or not, and all local pet shops, your lovebird may find a friendly shoulder to land on and they may hand him in somewhere.

Best of luck to you Zhin, and I hope you get Buu Buu back very soon!
