Budgie sitting odd?

Sorry I haven't been able to catch up, I'm just using my phone at the moment (without a laptop)
But Arty (my budgie) is doing something odd! When he's on my bed (and this is the only time I've noticed him doing this) he will kinda flop out his wings and lay down flat on one of them :/ it's hard to explain without a photo but every time I try and snap one he comes running for the phone lol. I guess it's kind of like he's slouching or laying down? Do any of you know what I mean and is this normal? Or normal ish lol Mini never did it

Okay guys I hve a video of Arty doing this now and it worries me! It's only on the bed though! I'm only on a phone at the moment so let me try and upload and see if any of you guys can work out this behaviour!

Maybe it's some sort of breeding behaviour... or maybe getting some sensual pleasure from the texture of the bed cover?

I think that he's too young for breeding behaviour as he's only a couple of months old but I'm not sure when budgies mature?

I also thought that he might like the feeling of the bed but it worries me haha! I hope that's all it is

Ok, I won't lie, when I first saw the picture, I was like UH-OOOH. But then the video cracked me up!! Arty LOVES the feeling of the sheets/bedding on his body and is rubbing on it, that's all.

No, not in a sexual way, he's just enjoying the feel of it, and is trying to get close on all sides.

SO very cute!!! Arty is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

I agree, he's beautiful... and I did say "sensual" not "sexual". There is a difference (I hope ).

By the way, it's behaving "oddly" (adverb).

I was born and raised near Duesseldorf, very close to the Dutch border. I immigrated to the US when I was 22.
