Parrots
Green indian ring neck parrot
It started after lunch, he had a piece of cucumber and a bit of rice but after a while he started gagging, initially i thought i was the normal gag as parrots do when they show affection or something ( i hope u get what i mean) but later on i observed it was not that kinda gag, he did threw up once or twince the next day.But after that he's just gagging. I tried to google some home remedies, and chatgpt suggested to give him saline water , he did drink some. Then the next day it didnt stop so i gave him salt + sugar water, he enjoyed that too but it also didnt stop his gagging , i tried to look inside his throat to see if anything is stuck but i couldn't see anything so well. Any help will be appreciated, also their arent any vets near me whom i would trust my bird with, last time one killed my bird so i m not willing to take any chances

Do you have any video you can upload, maybe to YouTube?

My Yellow nape does something like what you describe but he never brings up anything.
He does it early in the morning when his stomach and crop have to be empty.
My avian vet has been no help and I am afraid I have no real advice for you.
Could be a yeast infection in his crop.
Does he have bad breath.

Crop adjustment, regurgitating and vomit is so similar in birds. Without a reliable avian vet its hard to tell which. Hesitate about giving more salt/sugar water. This can lead to electrolyte imbalance. Do smell breath. If oder it could be sour crop or infection either yeast or bacteria. Is he eating any solid foods? Try soft foods like preservative free baby food to keep nutrition up. Is there a chance he got ahold of something that splinters or chips (wood, plastic etc) may have lodged in crop? This requires vet intervention. Can you do videos and get a video appointment with avian vet?

I will try to get it on video. His breath smells more of things he has eaten. And i dont think he'd gotten hold of anything down his throat! Yeah i m trying to take him to the vet. Until then if he do has the crop infection what things should i avoid?

I am not a vet.

But I have read that yogurt can be beneficial.
Not sure of what type but I think it needs to be active culture yogurt
