Hello guys, I need an advice. Today I noticed my budgie keeps doing unnatural moves with his head. Ive never seen him do it before and I don't like it at all. I got him last summer and he should be around three years old. Could it be something with nerve system? Please, is there someone who can tell what's wrong? I'll add a video.

Looks almost like he’s trying to swallow? Could he have something stuck in his throat? Is he breathing okay? Could also possibly be crop issues like an impacted or sour crop. Do you have a vet nearby who sees birds?

Honestly...looks like normal budgie behavior looking to soon sweet talk the other budgie with delicious puke seeds. I dunno but i'm not that worried.

He seems alright now and he stopped doing that. He was breathing normally though. I'll keep an eye on him. If he starts again, I'll go to a vet. Thanks!

Birds sometimes do similar movements to empty crop and regurgitate good to feed mate, chicks and this includes favorite human.

It looked like normal budgie regurgitation behavior. Is it a male? I couldn't tell on the video. Males feed other birds more often than females. It also could have been adjusting his crop, moving food around in there, also normal. Good it stopped because if it's temporary it's likely normal.

Yes, he's a male. The other times he did that looked too much forced, but he looks fine today. It just freaked me out so I wanted to make sure.
