Parrots
Lovebirds, IRN, and a cockatiel
I have an 8 weak old IRN, we have hand fed him since he was 4 weeks old. He is super cuddly, wants to have his beak on your face ALL the time. He has pretty much weaned him self at this point. However.... there has been some serious behavior changes this week. For example, he has always been jealous of when I play/use my phone... but now if I pull it out he bites my phone case very hard until I put it away and then runs back up to my face to snuggle. I have seen many posts saying they are extremely independent, but ours is attached at the hip....

Our other birds love watching parrot tv on youtube, and he used to like it. Now he flies and attacks the tv when its playing the videos. He is very socialized and has never bit anyone until... my husband and I were both playing a co-op game on the phone and neither of us put the phones down when he bit our cases, so he then bit our fingers and flapped wings/stomped feet.... He kept doing this till we laid the phone down and then he ran up for kisses and snuggles.

Is this the bluffing phase? should I ignore this bad behavior? I am a first time IRN owner. Please help with any advice....

This is our IRN Dior btw, to put a face to the story lol

Jealousy. Yep parrots can experience that. You will learn - you make all the concessions in the relationship. Not the parrot. You likely spend too much time on the phone anyway. :)
