Lovebirds
Hello everyone, I have a female lovebird. She was alone and i started to go work more, so I brought a friend to her. A new lovebird that I really suspect is a male.

The first time she saw him she was really happy. Now the male is really following her watching, singing her but she is not interested.
They are in different cages in same room. I put the cages close by to get them used to each other.

Now we are in the first week, and my bird keeps biting the new bird whenever he comes to him or comes to me. She and I have a strong bond. I suspect she is jealous of me.

Also my first bird got stressed and started pulling her feather.

Does anyone have any advice

Well, it may just take more TIME... then again, it can be so complicated.
The Rb is so aggressive and territorial that I've never even dared to think of another bird... so fllowing is just what I've heard here.
Many here have found that they have to separate birds permanently... some have been fortunate and multiple birds get along.
You just never know! Never, ever.
Good for you for being so responsible and serious, and for reaching out!
I think that as long as you're willing to deal with whatever happens (e.g., separating them, if needed, handling added expenses, etc.), you'll be a great parront.
Good luck!
