RIP "pineapple" lovebird
I had Popeyes for dinner because I hadn't eaten all day and was starving. Then I went to the store and bought ingredients for the next batch of chop and birdie bread.
Mostly organic. Lol.
I'll try to post pics when I get it finished tonight, but I have an idea of a birdie bread with sweet potato, pumpkin, and banana, with kale. We will see what it comes out like. They may or may not like it.

Ginger flavored. With a lot more in it.
This has veggie pasta, brown rice, chick peas, cannelini (butter beans), a frozen mixed veggie mix, chopped fresh kale, black beans, butternut squash, yellow and green peppers, mango, raspberries, blue berries, parsley, flax, chia.... I'm not sure what else. Duh. Fresh sugar snap peas, and broccoli at least.
Can't remember. :)

I did not. This "bread" was a brainstorm and is coming out more like cake than anything.
I only used mashed sweet potato, pure pumpkin, mashed banana, organic gluten free rice flour, cinnamon, two eggs, a little baking powder, a little almond butter, organic carrot juice, and topped with a teeny bit of coconut and rolled oats. It's not done yet. It's interesting but I for one will be trying it. Which is why I left out kale which was originally going in it.

It is not as good as it looks.
It is mostly a pudding type consistency cake.

My lovebird LOVES stuff like this so he will be in heaven. Not sure how Loki will feel. Chiqui seems to be a birdie trash can...:54:

WOW!!!! That looks seriously delicious!!!! :32: I had to laugh at your title. Boy, that sounds so familiar. :54:

Served the pepper one for breakfast. We will see... Loki doesn't seem to be terribly impressed lol

All of those look amazing! Sometimes it takes several feedings of a new chop for all my birds to get on board with it and realize I am not trying to poison them:)
Everytime I look in my fridge for something to eat and only find bird fruit and veggies, I realize the same thing..they eat much better than us..lol.

So do mine...

This is by no means an exclusive club! You and I are not the only members...

I don't mind at all. My fridge and freezer are 80% bird food.

Neither Chiqui or Loki like kale. Apparently. Since it is on the bottom of the cage or left in lokis bowl.
Chiqui loves the sweet potato cake, which is good because Loki thinks it is terrible.
I fed some of the ginger chop before I left for work, and Chiqui is definitely a trash can. Loki misses my first batch of chop. But I don't remember what was in it...

Yeah, well, two of Tusk's favorite sentences are "Wanna chip?" and "Who wants a french fry..."

So obviously mine have picked up one or two of my bad habits...

Hahaha Loki really won't take anything from my hands. He does want to crawl in my food but that is generally frowned upon. Lol. Chiqui wants everything. Anything. If it looks edible she will cross fire to get it.

Birds appreciate the monkey see monkey do concept, no? If you ate it, I'm sure they'd be of interest. :)

that looks great, the last one I mde had an ingresient list s long as my arm...but my Ralphie loves it! It is the only way I cn sneak veggies into him!
