Bird Talk Magazine Ceased Publication

Thank you soooo much PetoftheDay :)

I do not want dog fancy but at least I have dogs. I think I might get another parrot magazine.

I feel so bad for the people who make bird talk, although the web site is still up and running imagine how sad they all are. They couldn't even afford to make a last and final publication.

When you find a good one , let us know what you think of it.
I need to fill my need for another birdy mag , lolol. :D

NOOOO! i loved that magazine, my favorite thing to do was curl up and read it. with the economic situaltion, i feel bad for the writers who may have lost their jobs :(

When i first became interested in parrots i read every issue i could find, wasn't many other sources of info. It's a real shame, they will be missed. There's so much on the internet that you can't trust, that the printed word ,in your hand , meant something. There's an accountability that is sorely missed on the internet where everyone sounds like an expert, regardless of how uninformed they are.

Absolutely! At least with a print magazine you can find out about the editor and their editorial standards. Print media is one of the few places that dynamic still exists. With the advent of cable TV the Federal broadcasting commission lost jurisdiction over the news and now there is no broadcast journalistic standard imposed on shows claiming to be news, it's not much better than the internet.
