Bird Hygeine

Hey everyone, I'm a new bird owner and still have a lot to learn but my bird (long billed corella) has managed to get dropping stains on his feet and on the underside of his beak. This may sound like a stupid question but what should I use to get this off? I brought him home almost a week ago so he's still a bit timid around me but I want to get it off of him!
Any advice?

nothing but water to rinse off

If you can remove it with water without scare him then OK othervise I shold let it "remove by time"

See if you can get him to stand in warm water for a while. Some toys or greens in the water may tempt him.
