What are your opinions of using harnesses on birds? Good? Bad?

I really like the aviator harness. I have tried the feather tether bird harness before with no luck, it has lots of metal pieces which made it hard to put on a parrot that never worn harness before, and it was kind of heavy.
Ozzie is now harness trained, and I'm planning to take him outside within this few days for the first time! He is now very happy to wear his harness and will not freak out or anything.
The only down side on the aviator was the pice that connects the leash and the harness was very easy to fell off. Ozzie was chewing on it (my bad, I wasn't looking while putting it on) and after about 5 second, it fell off! But it was super easy to fix, so nows all fine.
So just make sure that your parrot don't chew on the harness, otherwise it won't last very long!

I really want to buy some type of harness for Trixie. Being able to get it on her will be a whole other story. My hands will probably get bloodied up. I've been working on getting her to let me stretch her wings out gently (just in case she ever needs first aid) and touch her feet. However, she takes great offense to her wings being touched. She fluffs up and charges (beak open) and tells me off in "birdy" talk. So, instead I've backed down to only touching the outer primary flight feathers (for about 2 seconds) whenever she's perched on my fingers and stretching.
Right now she's learning how to fly indoors and building confidence as her flight feathers grow out. Teenage daughter rolled her eyes when I said, "Someday, Trixie's gonna fly like a boss", hehe.
BTW: Ozzie is sooo cute! Everytime I see his pic in your avi, I'm thinking "Awww"!.
What size harness do I need for a CAG?
Have you not heard? The bird is the word!
Thanks for the quick reply!! Now just need to find one in the right color lol.
