G'day

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a harness for a Sulpher?

Or a brand that in their opinion is better?

Any help or advice in this matter would be greatly appreciated as the concept is quite new to me!

Cheers!

I 'second' the aviator recommendation. Hard to break out of and I've only ever seen one problem been reported (down to manufacturer issues, rather than people using it incorrectly) and that was with our own tab_xo and her Fargo.

I'd say aviator. I'd love to get my guys in one...

This picture on that aviator site cracked me up. A pet chicken??

Didn't even realise chickens were so flighty!

LOLOLOLOL!!!! Totally off topic- but my hubby had chickens growing up and one hen's name was "FOUR BY" because she went EVERYWHERE and followed him everywhere...like a chicken with four wheel drive ;) hahaha

I've lived on Norfolk Island (in Pacific, it was discovered by Capt Cook) and there are thousands of feral chooks there, and they fly quite well!

As for harnesses, we've tried them and had no luck, birds just went crazy and tried to bite them off. I'm not sure I'd want our birds flying where we live anyway, too many kites, hawks and goshawks.

Definitely use the Aviator harness, the safest and easy to put on! :)

I had the aviator flight line which broke at the weld clamp thing (the harnesses have these as well)

After many emails to the company, it was because they had change manufacturers, which had left a sharp bit on the inside of the weld, which then teared at the elastic line, which then snapped!

Of course the problem is all fixed now, and that was just with the flight line, not the harness anyway! :)

I also highly recommend the aviator harness, it's the safest and best fit harness for parrots. Very few pressure points, light weight, and designed by parronts for parronts. Plus if your order from their website(parrot university) they offer free world wide shipping.

i agree with getting an aviator. cooper ha one, and although he hates it, i can still get him in and out with little fuss.

Well I ordered one for my Cockatiel. When the weather gets nice, I think he deserves to be out in the sunshine and fresh air. I would never trust him outside without a harness.
