...what a goofy little critter he is When I put different types of food in his food box,I never see him eat it (stuff like pieces of veggies or hunks of fruit or the Birdy Street Bistro stuff Amy gets) but if I put it on a plate while he is out of his house and hanging out with me,he'll try almost anything once.

Tonight I gave him a teaspoon worth of the Birdy Bistro stuff and a teaspoon of mac and cheese,warmed up,and sprinkled with the vitamin suppliment Amy is getting,put it all on a paper plate,and held it in my lap while watching the BoSox kick butt..he sat there and chowed down like he has never eaten,making little 'tiel chirps as if he was saying "MMmmmm...YUMMY!"

I think I'm going to feed him like this more often. He seems to eat like this only if he is out and near me. Maybe I can get him to nosh on other things too

Maybe its just the fact that she and he are with their person? I know I'd rather be eating with someone else than being alone?? Or maybe it's coz they LIKE to be catered to??

Cricket does this too. Her favorite place to eat is on top her cage in a tiny espresso saucer, but she won’t eat well unless I stand next to her! If I walk away, she chirps demandingly until I return. Today she ended up having dinner on my work desk, so at least I got to sit down...
