Kiki, a sulphur crested cockatoo (eleonora).
Kiki was born in January 1995 and She's with us Since she was 4 months old.
We had to say goodbye to our beloved Kiki, she was with us since she was a baby and now we had to let her go to spare her more suffering.

We will always remember the beautiful moments we had together for 24 years.

I will post some of these moments in this thread.

Alex

Kiki is, was, always will be your sweet, clever and beautiful girl! You did everything right by her, her pain is now ended and she flies high and gloriously free. But for your loss of her Iā€™m truly sorry and I share in that pain. Kiki will always be in your heart and itā€™s clear she loves you too.

Alex, I've only just read Kiki's story and I'm *so* sorry she didn't recover! I can't imagine how you're feeling, but we can all see you did every possible thing for your sweet bird. It shouldn't end like this, not for you and not for Kiki.

I hope your grief is gentle and that very soon the sweet memories will overcome it. I'm glad you had your lovely girl for those years and I'm glad she had you for her family. Rest in peace, Kiki: you were a good bird! XXXX

My deepest sympathies, thank you for sharing memories of your exquisite and loving Kiki.

A dear friend shared this Washington Irving quote during a time of grief: "There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love."

A perfect way to celebrate the life you shared. Beautiful pictures of a beautiful soul. I love the dancing one.

What a beautiful tribute to your precious girl. I am devastated for you, I just caught up on your other thread. You could not have done more for her, and the last act of love that can be bestowed is relieving their suffering. Kiki is flying free now, no more pain.
I am so sorry for your loss.

Iā€™m so sorry for your loss. Iā€™ve also been getting caught up and canā€™t stop thinking about what you guys went through and all the love you Gave to Kiki. I remember when you posted the video of Kiki using the stick to scratch herself I think it was for the photo of the month thread. Iā€™m so sorry.
