Took the Big Macs out yesterday to fly around in the sun. We all had a blast.

Looks like you got the whole family out having a great time with the birds. What a cool idea for flighted birds to safely fly around in a big open space!

What a Genius idea! I never ever would have considered a batting cage had I not seen this. Love it.

Brilliant idea! I'll have to co-opt it for my Eclectic Duo myself. Was that the first time?

Yup first time there. They enjoyed it and of course we drew a crowd. I need something like this in my back yard lol

I have constructed more than I can count. We used to build them in carpentry class and sell them to all the schools in the area they are pretty cheap and very durable if you actually have the room go for it. I think I might buy one for bonkers to fly in seeing how happy your macaws were flying around

That is a truly Great, yes Genius Idea Stephen! Batting Practice Cage, who would have thunk it? What was the Aha moment that inspired that connection?

Great Video, the SloMo was wonderfully inspiring.

That is really a great idea! As said, easy to build too! Using PVC and netting, nice!
I see there were other folks doing the same in the next cube!

What a fantastic idea!!

We don't really have baseball here, but horse back riding is a big thing here, so there are a lot of indoor riding arenas. We have "clubs" where we meet up about 30-40 birds with their humans and let them fly and socialize with each other. We pay about $3 per bird and we meet up every week. It is so fantastic to see the birds fly in all their glory :)
