Bar spacing?

Does it look like the bar spacing is too big?

I just can't tell? Looks close to the bar spacing I have, as long as she can't stick her head out. Wider than tall cages are usually better for parrots, I got mine brand new on eBay for $119 shipping included, 2o by 32 by 54 inches, had to put it together, not hard. I would say the bars are weakish but my rescue is older and think will be fine. Happy cage hunting!

I was actual going to trade my cage for that one, but not sure I am satisfied with how the cage pictured looks. Also has no drip tray. Also looks like it needs painted.

Wider, not taller. This cage looks too tall. Bar spacing looks okay, but get a wider cage. Where they he/she can stretch their wings. The main thing is to provide time outside the cage. The cage should just be a place for sleeping and confinement when you're not home.

The bar spacing is pretty wide by my standards (mine are closer and I have an Umbrella Cockatoo)....This would be the right spacing for a large bird like a macaw, but I wonder about - A) The white paint and what it is made out of and B) the width is too narrow---as others said, tall doesn't matter as much as width.

My smallest quaker cage is 28 inches length, 20 inches deep and 38 inches high cage part nit stand. I can say for me I would not be comfortable with less than the 28 inches length. And I'm an st home mom, the other cage is 32 inches length. I plan to change out my smaller cage because I think the 28 length is still to short..... that's me and I'm a stay at home so they are out most if the time..

Mine right now is 24Lx28.5Tx16.5w. Too small? Too tall? Or what?

Mmm??? It looks nice... That said 16.5 inches deep seems a little cramped and I think 24 length is not long enough. My 28 length cage my quaker won't flap his wings inside, he waits till he gets out of the cage to stretch and flap. I don't know what other quaker owners think? You do have a nice cage set up, but I think wider and longer, height seems good... Some variation in size of perches too, it's good for their feet to have different size perches. Iknow my boy uses every inch of his cage top to bottom. I'm glad you have your beautiful quaker!! Are you going to do DNA? I'm just curious lol, I need to for my rescue, I just want to know lol

I was thinking I needed biggwr as well. She's not in it usually until bedtime. Think it'll be ok until tax time?

Yes I am going to DNA. I have some pet shops that specialize in birds and they do them fairly cheap.
