Sunny a female B&G macaw;
Japie (m) & Appie (f), both are congo african grey;
All are rescues- had to leave their previous homes for 'reasons', are still in contact with them :)
Christa is banned because today one of my parents bought budgie sticks (I was reading only bad things about them but well once in a while it should be nothing)
A crossover Quaker Scuti (F), A Sun conure named AC, A Cinnamon Green Cheek conure Kent, and 5 budgies, yellow (m), clark Jr. (m), Dot (f), Zebra(f), Machine (m).
Rozalka is banned because you are all so ban-happy I can never catch my arch electrical nemesis Aratingettar posting last; so I can ban him again!, and again, and again,...
I'm just saying if parrot forums suddenly needs a man with a multimeter and a fluke o'scope, a portable DC power supply, or a few quick category IV arc flash area tests, or high or low megohm test measurements....or to confirm their transistors either NPN or PNP are working....and a fix to their all their problems....they know who to call....clark_conure.

Rozalka is banned because my mum does the same thing: buys the parrot things I avoid like the plague. She means well and it is kind of sweet (just like the treats she gets them )

I'd use an analog photocell and then tie in say three or six (how many positions of the day are important) into an amplifier. Then direct each amplifier to a misting system. You would incorporate a potentiometer to set the level is high enough turn on or level to low turn off with a trimmer tool. the circuit wouldn't be hard but...off the shelf probably easier. guys like me and Aratingettar would try to build it ourselves and sit quite literally with with a meter and a tweaker going um ...."now" "no to much" "a bit back" "ok perfect." then we'd be like crap I should have used 2.3Kohm resistors not 2.0Kohm resistors....
I'd buy off the shelf or just put it on a timer. I prefer both options....I've been in electrical/electronics for a while now and it's a lot of chasing after peoples mistakes....so you get jaded after a while....imagine your a hairdresser but the only poeple whose hair you cut is 5 year olds with gum in their hair....
Also ChristinaNL your banned for learning super secret secrets....

Clark_conure is banned because I still struggle with a 'the flora mate' (yup, I am one of those 5-year-olds).
Oh.. my female grey just tried some serious flirting with the male (who was busy trying to impress my left ear with "I am sooo going to feed you"-sounds).
Japie still has NO idea what females are...so he was totally in shock Appie did that!

Christa is banned for messing up with her soldering irons! And clark_conure is *OBVIOUSLY* banned for a soooo 90-ties design for the mist/sunlight machine, when the *RIGHT* approach in the IOT world is to design a WIFI & BT enabled controller which synchronizes the astronomical time based on GPS position, controls RGB LED lighting to simulate not only the amount but also the wavelength and controls the mist-machine with an iPhone App! Why tweak the resistors if you can use the DAC and control in software? Raspberry PI, baby!

Aratingettar is banned for promoting Apple-crap (Raspberry PI's I can live with) I am waaaay to paranoid to agree with wireless-anything (too many friends who enjoy hacking/ are busy to prevent it happening )
