She's doing pretty good, getting on with her daily life, except with that constant look of disgust in her eyes :) you know the one, the "what the hell did you do to me? - you're dead to me..." one... i need to wrap her in a fleece towel twice a day for medicine and rub soother creme on her legs, so i'm not making myself popular with that either, but luckily she seems to realise that if she just cooperates, it all ends much quicker and she can have a treat. but i cant help but feel sorry for her - that thing looks sooo uncomfortable! they didnt want to use the lampshade collars because it would be a bigger inconvenience for her. but two weeks with this yoke just seems... sooo long! :)

What is it for?

Hopefully the two weeks passes by and she forgives you quickly!

Did you ever talk to your a-vet about the milk thistle?

Hi Casey, Bandit was very badly neglected before i got her, her liver was badly infected due to poor diet, no sunlight, lack of calcium etc etc...
her liver infection cause her lower body to get really itchy and she started plucking out the featehrs on her legs.
the collar will now stop her from getting to her legs while we treat the liver infection with anti biotics, some anti inflamatory stuff and soother cream to stop the itching.

@ monica - i've brought it up, but because she's on a bunch of meds allready we decided to get her through this course of medicine first and perhaps use teh milk thistle as sort of a maintenance thing once this is over :)

Sounds good! Please keep us updated on the little darling!
