What's the best dosage to give for AVC for a bird with a yeast infection. Currently I'm giving 15ml to a litre but can I give more hes a sunconure.

Thanks

Does your bird drink the water for sure when they are added? I wouldn't leave the probiotics in there all day. Have you considered sprinkling them (probiotics) on some veg or something that he likes? You don't want to overdo it compared to what you have been doing, even with those...so try to remember that if you were adding it to water and you do sprinkle them on food that you will need to give less because your bird obviously wasn't drinking ALL of its water.

ACV is pretty safe in water but the risk is that if your bird doesn't like it, he may drink less due to the taste.

The problem with probiotics in water is that they can contain starches/binding agents etc and those could encourage bacterial growth (other than the healthy kind) if left to sit too long...

How did you give them before?

I have no idea if it is smart to combine them...ACV kills some bacteria....so maybe separately, but honestly, I do not know. Generally, I am not a fan of adding anything to water (for fear of dehydration, bacterial growth and the fact that you can't tell how much they are getting)..BUT, that is the only way that I know of to give ACV and you have to do what works for your bird.

Yep he drinks the water in fact I think he likes the taste more than the regular water I give him. I gave the AVC for 4 days and have now been giving probiotics for the last few days at the right dosage before I gave less. I would give it in the water and change it twice daily it says on the probiotics they are soluble in water.
I will most likely give the AVC in the water and put the probiotics on his broccoli and other veg.

Just remember that too many probiotics can cause digestive upset if you increase it too fast. If they need to be in water (per the instructions) then do that I guess...I mix mine with food, but mine can be mixed with food---not sure if yours are intended to be consumed that way or not.

I hope people chime in on the ACV dosing!!

I think that may be the case when I started giving probiotics he had morning poops that are very watery and throughout day I think I'll just give AVC in water and probiotics on food.

I just saw that your post says AVC and not ACV---ACV= Apple Cider Vinegar- that is what you are talking about right? If so, you might want to message a mod and ask them to edit your title to make that clear.
