Hey guys! We have a very noisy upstairs neighbor that loves to watch tv till late at night. While he usually keeps noise to a minimum he can get loud. The noise is like a muffled base, and I was wondering if this particular noise would be harmful to my little GCC. If so I can wheel his cage else where at night when he's trying to sleep.

In my experience not really an issue, I work nights and the nights I'm home he keeps the same schedule so I'm downstairs doing stuff, and he never wakes up.....A little white noise like that, if he's used to it shouldn't bother him. I'd just check to make sure he's staying asleep.

Remember he evolved in a jungle, some normal noises are fine....something like fireworks, loud pops, hissing sounds etc. I would worry about.

If what you are talking about is the low base from a flat screen tv unit, their base speaker is fair small and should not be an issue. That said, if the guy has a 12" double woofer that can drive nails out of the studding. Yup, that as problem.

Nope, this is just from a tv. He does on occasion play his electric guitar which can be horribly loud but he hasn't played for about a month now since everyone else complained about him. When/if he does, I'll just move Pip and myself to another room where we can't hear him.
