Yesterday I got up, let Skittles out of his cage, fixed him his continental breakfast, got ready for work, took the dogs for a walk and then put Skittles back in the cage for the day.
I had to stay out of town until quite late. When I got home, Skittles treat bowl was on the top of his cage, with his half eaten evening treat, Skittles was securely in his cage sleeping.
This morning I got up, let Skittles out, jumped into the shower and when I got out, Skittles already had his morning breakfast, his water had been changed and my wife was walking the dogs. I put him back in the cage as I left for work.
As I drove to work I realized the training was finally working ...
My wife, who has seriously avoided Skittles for months, is now talking to the bird, fixing his food, leting him out of the cage and, at times, putting him back. And I didn't even have to use the clicker to train HER!
