Angel spoke!!!!

angel has been saying hello for ages and just baby babble, she say's hello at everything in all different voices. sh'e coming up to 8 months and i thought maybe she won't be a talker (not that care if she talks or not, i love her the way she is)!
well today i was in my nan's room with angel on my shoulder and my nan has a get well balloon in there, it started moving in the breeze and angel looked at it and said "whats that"
the way she said it made me laugh, and then she started copying my laugh!
i feel like a proud mama, she still uses baby babble so maybe there's more to come!!

Ahh that is just too sweat! Nogal "Whats that?" - much more observant and cleaver than what we think. That baby babble is definitely going to turn in to words that you did not even know she heard before.

Vincent hears me comming upstairs all u hear is hello and loads other vocal things cnt make out yet think he's going be good talker too. It's great when they pick up words

Hi, I am the proud owner of a new 8 month old Harliquin macaw named Marley. We have had her for two weeks and she has gotten really comfortable with us and is very sweet but she does not babble at all and I am thinking that she may not become much of a talker. I have a 15 year old Moluccan cockatoo male and an 18 year old yellow nape amazon female, and both of them are great talkers and I raised them from babies so I must have done something right. The thing is that both of these other birds babbled as babies and my new macaw does not babble at all.

Does anyone know when macaws start to speak? Do some of them not talk? The Harlequin is a cross between a blue and gold and a greenwing macaw. Lesley
