Allergic to Birds..help...what to do about bird dander?

Pritti always bathed from his rather main, rather large, water dish -- pretty much daily. Over past year he's been bathing less frequently (he's 30 years old) and maybe only do it two or three times a week. He won't bathe at all here (we're on vacation at family's house). So I started taking him shower at home - even though he was scared to death of water sprays and mists (or just hated them forever) - he would run into walls to get away. Well finally I put him on a small towel draped on my shoulders and got him to let me past him through the shower - Surprisingly, he seemed to enjoy it and have fun once in there - right from the start. So maybe you can try it that way. Put the shower on a very light flow so it doesn't stream down to hard. Keep talking in a fun or soothing way. Maybe you'll need to keep your hand up there next to him for comfort.

Thanks. I did buy a shower perch. I was thinking I could get him used to the bathroom first and then let him hang out while I shower. And if he gets comfortable with that, let him get a tiny amount of water from the other side of the shower (the side away from the head). I dunno. I put a water dish at the bottom of his cage, but so far no progress.

But he's stinky, and definitely needs a good soaking lol.

I have a couple perches for Scarlet that I can bring around the house and I started taking her into the bathroom on a perch that I sat on the toilet (lid closed of course haha) and just put her in there with me when I did things like brushed my teeth, put in my contacts, the Mrs. put her makeup on etc. and then when she was used to it, I would take a shower by myself with her still there. Now she LOOOOOOVES taking showers with me. My wife told me she finally doesnt stink haha but I never thought she did, I kinda like the way ekkies smell.
