Iago! ~ Sun Conure - RIP 11/20/2021
Iago just finished (I think) with his first molting and he has seemed really cranky the past few days. Maybe it has been going to bed late a couple nights ago but I was wondering if this is a normal thing to go through after a molt or if it has to do with going to bed late or a combination of both

Cal was cranky in her entry to moult lol.

She's just about finished it now and is fine.

I would say probably it is a bit of both as we all know 12hrs of uninterrupted sleep is so important for our lil guys!

mossy has just finished his molt and he was really cranky! seems to be ok now its over though. spraying them with warm water soothes their itchy feathers x

Max is very cranky when he moults - from beginning to end. Considering that he's pretty grouchy normally, this puts him over the edge. Jade didn't seem to have a problem but be careful of those pin feathers! Ruby's still young and hasn't moulted yet, so we'll see how she does.

Nicky gets VERY cranky when he molts. But once he's finished he will get all snuggly again!

It is kind of like a birdie PMS but it takes a long time for the complete molt. It will end and you will get your sweet bird back again.
