I'm getting adware from parrot forums, every time I come onto parrot forums and click where I enter my username to log in, I get a pop up from "adultcameras.info"(Don't go there). I continue to get them on occasion until I remove it, as soon as I come on parrot forums I get it again.

I don't believe it's the site, Nathan, it may have to do with your settings on your PC. I personally have never had this problem.

It's getting rather annoying because I want to keep my browser history...

Well, I tested it a few ways.

I removed it, waited a few days and no longer got the popups. Went on parrot forums, same thing. Then I removed it, instantly went back to parrot forums, got it again, removed it, etc.

I also tried another PC, as soon as I went on parrot forums I got it.

It's more of a nuisance than anything, because I have to keep deleting my browser history.

I have had that problem too! I want to get rid of it too.

Ive never had this problem, but my PC keeps me signed into Parrot Forums 24/7. Maybe thats why?

Since this thing hit the streets aprox 6 days ago, you will start to see the boat filling up!

We shall see, won't we? :) Knock on wood on my end...so far so good, but I DO have a decent amount of protection installed.

I'll forward this thread to one of our Administrators.

Poor Mods... Thanks for working so hard for this forum! We all appreciate each of you.

You might want to try putting AD Block on your system Nathan, it usually keeps the junk out of my system.....

Good luck.....

Unfortunately, even with how well the forum is run, amazingly well!,this stuff usually comes in linked to advertising. Not done deliberately by the advertiser, but crafty hackers modify the code, or link to it. Has happened to some very reputable pop up adds.

Hmmm...never had a problem like that with Parrotforums...I do have that problem with a local news site though...

I have talked with one of our Administrators, and the issue is NOT forum related, but most likely caused by the browser. :)

I had a similar problem a while ago, only with me it was awful pictures of animal cruelty from a site that wanted me to subscribe to 'stamp out cruelty to elephants'. I also wrote to the forum to complain, only to find no one else was getting the ugly pop-up. Since then, I had a pretty major PC crash and so hubby had to reinstall my system. That fixed it! No awful pop-ups now. :)
