I have to leave for work early in the morning because off that i always give them their seeds and pellets when i am about too leave.
But the last few weeks they wake up when i do(they are in my room)and refuses to go back to sleep,i do have their cages covered ,but i can hear them climbing and they make noises.
Do you think it is better to just uncover them and give them a healthy breakfast or just leave it as it is.
I have to mention that when i leave it is dark outside so they will have to go back to sleep when i leave.
When i am getting ready i have only my computer on,no lamp orso to keep them from waking.

Why leave them covered if you are leaving the house?

i don't leave the house while having their cages covered,i cover them when they go to bed and uncover them in the morning before i leave.

Oh. I didn't understand the question then.

I don't cover mine. Unless they are doing something exceptionally naughty, like screaming... and then not for very long.

I did have a girlfriend whose birds wanted to be covered at bedtime...

So that is a depends on the bird thing...

they live in my bedroom and so do i as i live at home,so to make sure they get their sleep in the evening i cover them, else they won't sleep if they see me up.
