A wee visiter

Thank you! :D
I am really hope I get him soon. I have noticed that there are a lot of cats around lately. So I really don't want him to get caught by a cat/dog D:

I will keep updating everyone on our progress. :D
I do hope everything will have a happy ending! :D

LOL. I did put an empty cage outside yesterday/today but the only things I caught was my cat!. She loves going in it and trying to sleep in it. She even tries to do it with the aviary. This is another reason why it's hard for me to try and catch him.

Ive been trying to keep her inside but she does go outside sometimes to do her business(doesn't like to use a litter/dirt box). She will hold it in until we let her outside. And to just sleep in the sun.

I might keep it out for a couple of more days

Hahaha! That's so funny! Well good luck! :D

Oh gosh I hope you get him!! You could try the good old box and pull cord rig, but use a long box for an alexandrine. If you were in Aus I would lend you my netting. You might be able to get netting for a good price from stores near you? Only ever leave it out while you are watching it though. You can set up a trap that is hard for most animals to detect using netting (orchard netting, the type you throw over trees).

Thank you for all the help but I caught him!
I was finally able to get him! :D

He is actually very tame o:
I started to talk to him while he was on the aviary and I told him to come here. And guess what he did :O I was so shocked. He was sitting on my hand and then I went inside and he just happily sat on my hand.

After examining him I saw he was missing a few toes and some wing feathers (maybe from a clip? or just molting?) I have to check again. Atm he is in a small cage. He is eating lots and lots. I'm going to take him to the vet later today to see how he is :D

No I haven't. I did see one but not in my town. It had a closed band but this boy doesn't. And it doesn't say anything about missing toys so I don't think it's him. I am going to keep looking for his owner. As he is extremely tame. He doesn't bite and was taking food form my hands o:

Ill post pics soon :D

They are bad quality as they were taken from my ds.

That's awesome you caught him! He actually looks really healthy considering he's been on his own for a while. You say he's got no band and he's missing toes... Is it possible he did have a band that fell off when he lost his toes? Unlikely I'm sure, but just a thought.

Thats what I thought as well. I have been leaving pellets and fruits and vges for him. I did think about that. his toes are like little stubs, they look like old wounds though.

Thefood ive been leaving out is usually all eaten.

And thanks everyone. im going to try my best to find his owners:D

I was very suprised to see how heathly he was. I did take him to the vet during my break at work. They told me he was a very healthy boy, inluding his weight. Which was quite a suprise. I can see that he ate well :D I have a feeling that he had been fed by other people who live close to me.

Wow...what a neat story! I hope you find his people, but in the meantime at least he is being well cared for! :)

So do I :D
I have put a few fliers out (including into a few vets) and I let the SPCA know. It's where most people would go for a lost bird. :D

Also thanks :D

After I got home from work. I spent a about an hour with him. When I left he started to call for me. I bet he is really missing his owners. :(

I saw that he loves making ripples in water. In the cage he is in he has a large water bowl. It was used for bathing. But he just sits in front and dunks his beak moving it side to side. Afterwards he just watches all the ripples. He has put food into his water to watch it happen as well.

He does have deformed toes. Vet said he was most likely born with it or his toes were chewed of in the nest. I'll try to get a close up on them :)

Wow he dos look very nice for being out on his own for awhile. Glad you got him you saved the poor guys life:)

Thanks, Justin

He does have stress bars on his feathers though. But other than that he is a very healthy boy! :D

And thanks he really is a beautiful boy :D

When I left to go to work this morning he kept calling for me. I can see that he must of been a well loved family pet at some time. :(
