Lovejoy says to say "Thank you, Ruby, you're very cute too But I already have a girlfriend, and she's the jealous type!!"

Lovejoy got some fresh flowers today. Good thing he doesn’t mind sharing them with his pretty girlfriend cos it doesn’t look like he has a choice!!

Got good mileage out of the flowers today cos Fang and Val enjoyed them too!

You know the best when you see them, @saxguy64! That's the grevillea "Honey Gem" cultivar, they have so much nectar that it drips on my arm when I go to cut them. Highly favoured among our honeybee populations too, I gotta bee careful I don't bring any tiny passengers back into the house with me!!

Just some cute pics from today. Lovejoy got some of his favourite "honey gem" flowers and got first dibs at the fresh nectar. Once that was gone I moved them so that the other birds could also reach them for a little "enrichment" - read "destruction"! It was so sweet the way Lovejoy and Peachie shared a romantic dinner for two this afternoon

Lovejoy says to say "Napping is for the weak, Uncle Boats!! And I am strong, do you hear me? STRONG!!!!! Waaaaaa haaaa haaaa haaaa haaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!" (Laughs in high-octane nectar-fuelled lorikeet-eze while the rest of the flock roll their eyes and say "Help us Uncle Steven, help uuuuuuusssss!!!!!")

Julio has been busy reminding the Turkey who's Boss and just wandering thru his Kingdom is not allowed. He smiled at Lovejoy's response and agreed that a fully fueled Lorikeet has much to do!!

A short time later he placed his bill between my ear and head and became very busy contemplating the interworking of multiple universes and mumbling something about an electric fence to convince the Turkey that there is a strong bit to his demands!

The fully fuelled lorikeet does indeed have much to do, but it appears as soon as he sees the camera it becomes the sole focus of attention, with a "strong bit" in there too, the little horror!!!

It's not easy getting videos of Lovejoy in particular, he seems WAY more interested in sitting on/eating the camera than being in front of it Still working on that birdie bathing vid too, he is ESPECIALLY elusive at bath time but I'll get him one day!
