Hi all I have a hotel (motel) and would like to house a parrot there I also live at the hotel so I will be there all the time o interact with it. I would like one that isn't too loud and can obviously survive in that kind of environment. I was originally looking into getting an eclectus parrot but a lot of people in the forum does not suggest me to have one due to stress etc... What suggestions do you have? Thanks

A lot of conures and lorikeets LOVE busy places and action. They are also inquisitive and active medium to small size birds and some species learn to talk. At their size and price, you could have a same sex pair for what you would have spent on one eclectus :)

Green cheek conures are a lovely quiet species to consider, they come in gorgeous colours as well and have cheeky personalities. Mine were fond of new people coming over and EVERYONE falls in love with them. They now reside with my sister due to an extended stay and she fell head over heels for them :) Collada would fly over to a new person and instantly start cuddling LOL

Lorikeets are also outgoing, busy little souls. Rainbow lorikeets have to be one of the prettiest bird species around. You would definitely need a pair to keep each other busy. Both conure and lorikeet species play wrestle with each other, which is cute and entertaining :) Both species love showing off.

senegal and meyer's parrots work well too. ;3
