Continuation of (it’s happened again)
It’s been about a weak since I separated the boys from the girls. Things were going smoothly until Monday morning.
Sunny (normal grey cockatiel female) started chasing Pinky (all yellow cockatiel female) around the cage.

It turns out that Sunny was the bird that had laid the first egg. The second egg was laid in the cardboard box and Sunny was chasing Pinky any time she got close to the box.
So now I have Pinky in a cage all by herself. Sunny in the lower portion of the big cage by herself. Lucky and Baby (male cockatiels) in the upper portion of the big cage.

I don’t like this arrangement but I can’t have the birds fighting with each other.
It might be possible to put pinky in with Lucky and Baby but for 2 reasons.

1 Pinky is a nervous bird and needs her space. She does not get along well with the boys.

2 Dividing the big cage into 2 portions makes it to small (I think) for 3 birds in the ½ space that is left.

There is one other issue that makes everything more complicated. Pinky is the bird that had been plucking her feathers. I don’t want to do anything that might get her to start that behavior again.

Do you have the tiel's in a 32 x 21 cage? Or is the cage bigger? Smaller?

Sounds like something is triggering Sunny to lay eggs, and poor Pinky is stuck in the middle. :( Any way to have Pinky in her own cage but near the other tiels?

the boys get at least 1/2 hour flying time per day.
My son takes Sunny out of the cage every day. does not fly well yet
Pinky likes to sit in the open door but it a really terrible flyer and not hand tame.

update: plucking again

Just as I feared Pinky started plucking her feathers.
I moved her into the section of cage that has the boys in it.
I guess I will have to go looking for another cage upgrade this weekend.
