hi i have a 1.5 year old pinapple conure i recently got a 3 week old conure had to be hand fed and everything. they get along great. one question how can i tell if the new bird is a male or female, am i in the end just going to have to dna test it? this conure is more bulky than my female and has a shorter tail i think thats because its younger though.
the main question. i am having issues with training, the new bird was good with "step up" but now its not. it seems every time i try to get it to come to me it runs away because it knows its going into the cage. any tips on trying to settle my bird and make it understand step up doesn't mean your going to the cage? idk it literally runs away from me every time, it didnt use to do that. i dont know what i did wrong. any advice? my other conure is perfectly well tamed, i just want to get that other conure to the same level. i dont know what i did wrong.
