Zana arrived

Hello guys. My lovebird was delivered. Seller said that he/she is 3 months old. Is it true? I'm asking because I read that their beak should be half black, but my lovebird's beak is ...white . Is she/he looks healthy, what do you think guys? I uploaded video to see it (bottom of my post). I think she/he is Peach-faced lovebird, but not sure, because their head should have red color.


I bought versele laga prestige https://www.amazon.co.uk/Versele-Laga-Prestige-Parrots-15kg/dp/B07HQ6G668. He/She like it I think. Every 20-30 min he eat a little lol.

BUT she/he not use it for now and during the day sleep often. Is it normal?
Sometimes she/he left me to touch his/her belly or beak without bite me, but when I'm close to her/him, he switch from sleep mode to...attention mode.

Lovely bird you have. This one is a youngster for sure. The black on the beak vanishes from 2 to 3 months.

So yes, your lovebird is around 3 months old.

The red color on the head appears after the first moulding. I think in two months it will start fading to red.

They are smart little creatures and know what is good for them, so they will nibble on the calcium when they need it.

Congratulations on your new birdie!! Hiw exciting. Glad to see yiu are offering veggies, and have different perch types. Beautiful love bird, i don't know enough about them to guess age.

Birds do take little naps, and if she/ he was shipped probably recovering from the journey

Thank you. I hope so Zana not use wooden perch too. Always stay on the swing and jump to these plastic perches to eat and...after that go back to the swing. Maybe I have to remove these plastic perches? BTW, Zana not eat lettuce and carrot. Why don't touch them I have no idea . Eat only versele laga non stop. Oh, never seen Zana to drink water too. I put two different water tanks.

Most of the time she/he eat and just stay on the swing, fluffed (video at the bottom) and I hope that she/he is not ill. I talk to Zana a lot, but she/he is not interested. Zana chirp very, very rare, for example just once today for few minutes, when I take her to balcony to see the sun. Not sure that was happy chirp or scared chirp.

thank you shipped...2 days ago. When opened cardboard box, tried gently to catch it and put in cage, but flied and 5-6 hours not ate, just...landed on highest point of the wardrobe. And...5-6 hours I talked to Zana, but when aproached close - flied to the another wardrobe . Waited to became dark and with wooden perch I approached Zana very slowly, gently touched his belly with the perch, Zana stepped on perch and...veeeeryyyy slowly I put him/her to the cage ahhahaha.
