I made a birdie friendly recipe today with turnip and thought I would share
Take 4 small turnips and boil or steam them until soft. Place in a small bowl and mash. Chop one handful of spinach and a small apple to size appropriate for your birds. Add spinach and apple to the turnip and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp of celery seed. Wait till cooled or only slightly warm and serve.
Can make as much or as little as you like. Lasts about two or three days in the fridge and excess can then be divided and sealed in ziplock bags in the freezer.
