mikey it wasn't bubbles, it was like an air bubble, like when you feed a young cockatiel chick and they get air in crop. it was small last night, but when I found him this morning, it had grown quite large, probably what killed him

I know how to remove the air from a crop, , I tried gently pushing on his crop to see if it would come up, and it didn't.

You did you best!!!! I'm sorry Yolo didn't make it through, I was sooooo hoping he would make it through cause he's been making such great progress. Things happen that's unpreventable. :(

thanks mikey, that was the last chick as I've sold all of my goudlians.
I've saved canary chicks, and zebra finches, but those little ones are entirely different animal.
the good news is I still have my one gouldian baby that was parent raised, and is now 8 weeks old, and will keep him as a pet. I have him in with my waxbills that I rescued :)

I am sorry about your little Yolo. It would of been wonderful if he would of made it and be your last. I am glad you have at least one from the parents that you can keep as a pet.

My hat is off to you for always giving the babies your all. You really gave him a good start but I guess it was not to be. Please keep us updated when you get your conure with your Gouldian money. More adventures ahead I am sure.
