My Fiery shoulder conure who is 1 has grown one yellow feather on his wing. I know I have seen a post about this in the past but don't seem to be able to find it again. Can any one help... why did this happen and should I be concerned???

Most birds have a couple "odd" color feathers here and there. Kind of like most people have a freckle here and there:) Unless the feather is "deformed" and abnormal, it's nothing to worry about one off-color one. My amazon has a yellow feather right smack dab in the middle of his otherwise all green chest:rolleyes: and some little blue head feathers scattered out in the yellow away from the rest of the blue of his head. It's all just unique colorations of the bird as an individual:) If he begins growing more, or the feather is abnormal, then it may be worth it to bring it up at his next vet appointment. Otherwise, it's just his own little way of expressing himself:D:D:D

My GCC has a white spot on one flight feather. It's completely random, but after vet check ups and everything in between, it basically is just a "feather freckle", like April suggested. I wouldn't be too concerned unless plenty of feathers start developing like that when they haven't previously. It can happen when a bird contains a bit of a pied mutation, if the feather pigment cells are damaged where that feather develops, or just a simple mutation. It's like a little birth mark for the most part, though. :)
