hi,

I got a pair of Yellow IRN.
The female chewed all the wings and tail feathers right to the bottom.

I tried to pull the broken feathers and they are hard to get a hold on.

please suggest me what to do.

Have you seen her doing it and you know for sure he isn't doing it to himself?

Both male and female used to spend lot of time inside the breeding box.
So not sure of who did it.

Breeder suggested me to keep them separate and pull out the broken feathers.

So the male could be doing it to himself. After you pull the broken ones and separate them, see if he gets better. If it was her, keep them apart until breeding season. If it is him, look for a different solution to his self mutilation. In the mean time they should both have exams, parasite screenings, and gram stains as well as routine disease testing.
