I got a decent taste today, of humanity is slowly sinking into a pit of disgusting violent, hateful goo. Ok, not all of humanity but...

So... I posted a comment on a video of a man hitting a snake on FB. The comment was as follows. 'This is disgusting. The fact this is garnering giggles and laughter makes me ill.' Because it does... Snakes are VERY prone to brain damage when hit on the head. They are often stunned, have seizures and die, go blind or have physical problems their whole lives following a blow to the head.

It Blew up.. I mean people were pulling out all the stops. I was told I need to shut the eff up, that my husband should beat me to shut me up, that No ONE could ever love me because I was so stupid and annoying,that I was a fat b, that I looked like I was related to Gollum, that my kids should commit suicide rather than live with me, that I needed to be tranked and tossed back in with the other 'femnazis' whatever the heck that means..... I mean it was VILE. All because I spoke up to something that is obviously wrong when everyone else was laughing....

Craziness. I could not believe the hate that spewed forth over my comment. Just insanity. I chose to stand my ground, which didnt help but, animal cruelty and child abuse is not something I will EVER shut up about... It makes me sick, and it makes my blood boil... But man, to say it out loud really was a social experiment. It mad me sad how many of these people are 17-40. Like... Not kids anymore... Adults... Who are wishing death and pain and horrible horrible things on a stranger, for sticking up for an animal who is being abused... Horrifying.

Anyway.. I wanted to share and get it all out, cleanse myself of the hate so to say. I'm happy to take it for my beliefs but its exhausting.. Yeesh I dont wonder why I prefer animals and have few friends.... But this might explain it to others. LOL

Most folks don't like snakes, therefore, killing or injuring them is okay.

Its actually a vine, a 7 second video of a man in a snake pit with a bunch of cobras... He tosses one into the pile of snakes and then shakes a blue bag in the face of another. Its understandably puffs up and he smacks it, knocking it away. Everyone found it to be hysterical.... The truth is these snakes were probably de-fanged. Which is even sicker. Anyway. Seriously disturbing how people become SO aggravated when someone stands up and speaks up. Like the name calling is whatever, juvenile and silly, but the insinuation I should be harmed, alone, die? Wowzers. Cannot fathom how that much hate accumulates in a person.

I CANNOT FATHOM WHY ANYONE WOULD VOLUNTARILY GO PLAY IN A COBRA PIT... or, for that matter, even have a cobra pit in the first place! De-fanged or not! THAT, in and of itself shows this guy to be on the low end of the evolutionary scale.

I seriously doubt "COBRA ABUSE" is high on the list of world wide problems at the moment...

And sooner or later, one of those cobra's may just decide to "get even."

Are cobra's edible? I know rattlesnake is considered a delicacy, but you have to do stuff to the meat when you prepare it to make sure you don't get poisoned... They used to serve it when I lived in Venezuela... (and god knows we had enough rattlesnakes!)

I wonder what kind of wine goes best with Cobra? I'm thinking a nice Chardonnay...

Tonight's special is a lightly sauted King Cobra with a side of wild rice and broccolini...

They're in their own little world where immense hate is apparently the key to a good life... >.> I had a similar thing happen to me during my last pregnany. Baby was almost born at 23 weeks, and when we made it to 28 weeks i was so happy, and of course didn't want baby born yet but 28 weeks is FAR better than 23! I updated a particular SUPPOSEDLY pregnancy friendly site i was a member of, about how glad i was we made it to 28 weeks, and got 1 reply of good wholesome niceness, and the rest were people going off at me telling me i should adopt the child out when born, how i was an AWFULLY HORRID BAD mother for being positive and happy that my child was being born early... >.> all sorts, my baby was gonna die or live and want me to die... Idiotic comments, and no matter how much i explained to them it just didn't get through their heads - selective hearing/reading. Funnily enough i made it to full term and ended up being induced lol. I can't believe people even hate snakes! Just because they are "creepy" or "have no legs" (I can say this is UTTER BS because there are many things that don't have legs!)! They are legless lizards, in fact! They are also called squamates.
