There I was... just sitting here minding my own business, working on my laptop when Blue came flying across the room, landed right on my lap (damn she's good at flying!), said 'hi' and decided she wanted to cuddle!

Someone broke into my house while I was out today and replaced birdzilla with this adorable mac!

Once they decide you're okay, it's onward and upward. Congratulations! You passed your test!

I have to admit, I'm pretty happy!

We laid on the couch for 2 hours and cuddled, watched a movie and worked on bite inhibition. She does beak pretty hard but when I say 'ouch!' she stops beaking and stands up straight. It's almost like she realized she was hurting me.

I did get her to step up on command 3 times in a row. Every time I made this huge deal out of it and she was anxious to do it again just for the dramatic reaction she got. No treats or clicker necessary, although we're going to continue with that.

I told you we were gonna cuddle! And to think it only took her 2 weeks.
I'm going to omit the fact that I had peanuts. :D

Congrats Gina!!! Now, back to our previously scheduled squakfest!!

Oh yeah.. well there is that. Although 'Screamfest 2013' was diverted tonight.

I need to teach her to scream like a girl and incorporate her into Halloween this year.
Scream every time the doorbell rings!

Wait... that might not be a good idea...

Child and Family Services worker: "Ma'am, We have complaints of a little girl being beaten here!"
Gina: "Um, no thats just my bird"
CFSW: "Likely excuse Ma'am, Please step into the car."
Gina: " No really it's my bird!"
CFSW: "Tell it to the Judge Ma'am!"

LOL

How exciting! A big breakthrough (ignoring the peanuts and all!;) ) Seriously though, awesome progress in just 2 weeks!

That is great! Obviously you are doing the right things! Keep it up and enjoy!

There's a story.
There's always a story.
Right now my living room looks like a parrot store exploded. I got all of Joey's stuff out yesterday to set up a birdtropolis for her and kinda lost motivation.
I need a bigger house!

Lol! Scattered amongst the dogs on my couch *ahem* there are wooden beads, dowels, shapes, hemp rope wrapped around the border collie, a drill under the cattle dog...

Beautiful pictures, I'm happy for both of you :D
