Looking For A Free Small/Medium Dog/Puppy (SA)

I'm looking to adopt a small/medium breed puppy or dog. Must be an excellent companion animal, meaning good with dogs of all sizes, not chase or bark at cats or other pets, EXTREMELY good with kids, and not get car sick so I can take with me. I would really like there to be either a SMALL re homing fee or free as I am going to be spending a lot of money on heart worm prevention, all shots, microchipping, spay/neuter, accessories, etc. Please, NO BARKING AT STRANGERS since I plan on taking everywhere and also have a lot of visitors at my home, including children who just want to pet them. If it is an older dog, please have good manners. I will be checking the shelters as well but usually don't have the gas to get all the way over there as I live far from any shelter. Please email me with more information! I am home most days so a companion is greatly appreciated! Kennel trained is a huge plus since that's where he/she will be when I do have to run dog free errands.

What is wrong with some people. I'm sorry but you couldn't pay me enough to get a pet, any pet from me.

I love the "I don't have gas to drive to see the dogs at the shelter" part. What happens when "I don't have the gas to drive the dog to the vet because it's sick/injured and needs immediate medical intervention". We drove 4 hours, in a snowstorm to get Kiwi (no joke), and he certainly did not come trained! Thats typically how it is with pets, many times you have to travel to get them then you have to train them. If don't have a reliable source of transportation and cannot be bothered to train the animal to behave you do NOT need a pet.

Sounds like this person is probably looking more for something along the lines of this:

^^^Yep, that's the perfect dog for this CL idiot.

Oh boy, and there might be someone who will actually try to give their dog to him/her!

I'm literally hearing "I want a dog, but I have no motivation, skill, time, patience, willingness, nor any type of experience with a dog before! Just give me a dog!"

Reminds me of a post I found similar but about parrots...

Wanted Free: Parrot, i. e., Grey, Macaw, Eclectus, Cockatoo, etc. (Ewa Beach)

Parrot wanted for free adoption: lf for some reason you can't seem to keep or care for your parrot. I would like to be able to help by letting you donate your bird to me. I will continue to give it the love, care and companionship that it deserves. You can come visit anytime and often to ease your mind. I just can't afford the $400 to $800 rehoming fee. Maybe we can work out a barter of some kind.

I mean it's sweet the person can visit...but wait till they see how much cages cost!!!

I also laughed at the "don't usually have the gas to get all the way over there..." There are some ridiculous ads out there.

Grace, LMAO @ your title "Would you like it trick trained, too."

I'm sure she does, and I bet she wants the kennel to be included as well.

There are some 'winners' out there, that's for sure!

What the?! Some people are just clueless!! She would be the person to rehome within a few months because she couldn't handle the responsibilities associated with a pet. It makes me angry and smh. [emoji35]

Grace, there's a lot of crazy ads out there, but I agree, this one does stand out. I like the demand in bold print that the dog never bark at strangers. Ugh, I'm surprised they didn't specify a breed for their dream dog.

Yeah I was in a bad mood yesterday so I actually emailed them. I was kinda nice though. Yeah they're not asking much. I noticed they said they were gonna microchip it and all.

I told them that with that list of demands good luck. Petsmart has training classes oh never mind and hit send.

I love that my dogs bark at strangers. I know when anyone is in my yard
