Jax Actually let me put his harness on... a bird that not long ago wouldn't let you stroke his back or touch his head... the head is still an iffy place. I can't believe it, i just thought on a whim oh it's been on top of his cage for ages lets see if he'll let me put it anywhere near him.... and what do you know?! Hey, presto, he just stood there and let me put it on.

Here is a pic of him in the sunshine and having a shower earlier in the day. The shower pics are a bit blurry, Sorry. But it is so hard to take pics in one hand while trying to keep your phone dry. When you have a stream of water running down your other side... I think I came out wetter than Jax.. LOL

I love the pictures, you can really tell that he is such a happy bird. Congrats on the harness!

It's good to see harness success! We are still hoping our Kokomo will let us put his harness on some day. . .

Great photos!! So glad he has come along way and was happy to cooperate with the harness!

Congratulations on putting a harness on Jax, I plan on getting a flight suit so I could take my fids with me to pet stores.

Way to go Jax!!

I have a harness, but haven't attempted anything w/ it yet 'cept to have it out around Vinny. Vinny is shy about new things like that so we'll see.

That's encouraging! He looks so adorable with the little harness on. :)

I've heard some eclectus are very uncomfortable with having their heads touched, though? Do you know if there are some that just never get accustomed to it, or is it simply a matter of trust and time?

It seems random to me, Harrison. My female doesn't like to be touched at all, but she finally got to the point where she let me stroke her head, but briefly! She makes soft cooing sounds when I stroke her head, but even then, if I push my luck, her beak will whip around soon enough. My male is totally different, I can touch him anywhere and as much as I want and he likes it.
