My friend at work brought me this box full of glorious pine off-cuts that her hubby collected for me at work (he is a joiner by trade). She can't believe how excited I am by pine blocks!! LOL.

Go ahead and wallow in your envy now, ok ;)

LOL, i see saw dust in your future.

I'm jealous too!!! Have fun.

Hahahahaha only bird owners get excited and jealous over wood pieces...

Have fun toy building!!! If you have any spare there is a lovely macaw in Australia who wouldn't mind some ;) haha

You will have one VERY happy Percy. :D Just mind those fingers as you start cutting and drilling holes. :)

You could build him a summer home with all that wood :)

Lucky you! That's going to be so much fun creating new playthings!

Great gift^^.
How long will it last?
I too got a whole box of wooden children bloks.
Only my birds don't chew on them...it will last a while.
Once a year we got something that is called queens day.
everyone can sell their stuff on the street, there are always a lot of baby toys that are practically free!!

Wow those are some nice blocks you got there... =p
My dads a builder but I worry anything I steal from him will be treated.

I think it will last a while because he doesn't enjoy harder pieces of wood - likes chewing thin pine slats. But he's really starting to chew up his wood toys so I think he will be moving onto thicker pieces pretty soon;)

Queens Day sounds like a blast! When is the next one happening?

That's what is so nice about my friend's hubby - he fully understands the need for untreated wood because they have a timney grey themselves.

I see lots of chewed bits....everywhere.....what fun!

have fun creating ;)
