As a bird safe ceiling fan cover so I can use it with birds out?

I'm not getting how you would use the burlap? I don't think you could cushion the blades and have it be safe. Are you trying to build a net of sorts around it?

A net of sorts around it. I would only use it when in room in case they try to chewthru it.

Sounds to my like your birds are flighted. Years ago, a friend of mine lost a Blue and Gold Macaw to a ceiling fan. Please use a tower fan when your birds are out of their cages.
In my humble opinion, ceiling fans and birds are a recipe for disaster!

I was thinking if I put the burlap netting up they wouldn't be able to get to the fan.

I'm gonna put it up and take a short video so you can see what I mean.

I think that would work. Could be sort of complicated to position all the time, though.
Are you afraid your birds will fly into the fan? Why do you need that if the fan will be off, as I assume it would be.?

I'm assuming this is so she can have the ceiling fan on while the birds are out, the burlap would effectively cover the blades. Like a screen

No it doesn't work. Im afraid there's not enough clearance guess its a chicken wire cover. I am trying to find a safe way to use fan with birds out. Unless I can make a frame for the burlap.

I would be afraid that even like that, if a bird flies into the burlap, it won't bounce the bird away from the fan because the material is not taught-- they'll still hit the fan.

Why not just buy a standing oscillating fan or a simple box fan?

I am trying to make a cover that would make it safe to have the ceiling fan on while the birds are out.

I am running out of space for a box or stand fan. I may have to totally rearrange my room but i have heavy furniture.

If I can't make it safe I won't use the ceiling fan.
