First post here, can anybody help me out? A gif avatar won't even work for me. Please don't tell me you guys are one of those boards where you need to pay and free members get pretty much nothing....

No, no, not at all ... your bbcode will work after either 5 days or 15 posts, it's a way that we keep spam in check around here ... it just takes time ...
