Bob's seed bowl is on the opposite side of her cage from her water bowl. Her seed mix contains little green pellet things that look like dried up peas. I constantly have to replace her water because she puts the green things into her water. I know she is willing to eat the green things as I have seen her do so. And she does not dunk her normal pellets which are in a bowl right next to her water. I do not believe that the green things fly there accidently as they are the only part of her seed mix that end up in that bowl.

Oh well, she is a good little bird who is very strange.

My conure dunks his dried food in an effort to rehydrate or make his food a little softer, maybe Bob is doing the same thing.

She doesn't dunk her pellets where are right next to her water, just the dry green things from the other side of the cage.

Sometimes birds put things in the water just for something to do. They like to watch the pellets expand and fall apart. Or to see the water change color. Not much different than little kids, lol!

Do you feed pellets??
She has a pellet bown and seed bowl. The local rescue's vet recomended diet is all the pellets/veggies she can eat and a teaspoon of seeds. Thats what she gets. The seeds and water are on opposite sides of the cage. The pellets are right next to the water. All that relieably falls in the water are green pellet things in her seed mix.

Some birds will also put things they don't want in the water dish. Could be Bob doesn't like the green things. And to her the water dish is a trash can or toilet. Or she likes the green water.
